Megaplex Madness is an enjoyable time-management game in which you are in charge of saving a theater from closure. The gameplay is nothing new, you just click on a customer and drag him to the appropriate station. The customers tell you what they want by means of dialogue bubbles. Also, they have hearts that indicate their patience level, which decreases if customers are left unattended. If the patience is over, the customers will try to leave the theater. However, you'll get one last chance to grab them on their way to the exit and place them on the place they want. In order to keep them happy, you should try to serve them as quickly as possible. The more hearts they have, the more money they've spent.
Each level has three goals that can be achieved: Target, to get to the next level; Expert, which will give you a bonus arcade token, later unlocking a new mode; and Master, which will allow you to make a repair to the theater.
As you play, you can perform a great number of upgrades and purchase more service stations (like popcorn, pizza, etc), upgrade existing shops to increase their service quality, or hire additional ushers to assist more customers at a time.
Regarding graphics, they are cartoonish and very well-done. Sound effects also contribute to create a nice atmosphere and the music is pleasant.
All in all, Megaplex Madness: Now Playing offers an original theme, and has many interesting things to discover as you play, yet it offers nothing new to the genre. However, I think it will satisfy many time-management fans.
